I should've had the first comic up last Thursday. I should've had a lot of things done around here in the past couple weeks. I should've played more of my Xbox360, Nintendo DS and PSP. Instead I was convinced to join a free private server for World of Warcraft. I vowed to ward off WoW after I tried it again after Burning Crusade and got bored at around level 32. However, this is a different ball game on the private server. I'm on a 60x xp and 40x money server. Pretty fucking fun, actually. And when you're playing online with some friends and then get mixed up with a good guild you don't realize that you had real life friends, family and other hobbies that you invested time into. I think a bit of it is wearing off now that I have a couple level 70 characters and all there is to do is create another character or PvP and raids. I finished coloring the first official comic and we have the script second comic already planned out. The goal is to have about a week in between comics. We'll see I guess. Perhaps I'll write a good tutorial on how to get going with World of Warcraft on private servers for people who might be interested. |

Well I definitely stumbled upon something interesting. If you like astronomy and such things (or even not) then you will probably find this something interesting to look at. It's called Worldwide Telescope and it's a program that takes images from all the land and space-based telescopes to combine them into a properly scaled holistic universe with what we have found so far. Well, I finally finished up the single-player campaign so I figured I'd give a little review on the game. I did however run into an extremely large glitch which stopped me from completing the game last night and forced me to replay through the last level...hopefully if you play through it you won't have to suffer through the same fate  .So...let's start this review. I was extremely excited when I started loading up the game. The anticipation was building, and the company logos in the intro videos were just getting in my way and slowing me down. Skipping through to the main menu and quickly starting up single-player seemed to have helped me out some as I said to myself, "I can finally play Crysis without worrying about chugging along at a framerate of 5-10FPS." All of this was true, the framerate was smooth through the entire game with the exception of a few moments, and all of this was on High settings with a few notches kicked up to Very High at a resolution of 1680x1050. All-in-all though, this game is extremely demanding as you may already know, but the beauty of it sure is worth the occassional slow-downs. And when I say beautiful...I mean b-e-a-utiful!
